Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Certified Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community. This role is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property, completing work orders, performing unit turns, and ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on residential units and common areas
- Complete apartment make-ready/turns including painting, drywall, flooring, appliances, plumbing, and electrical repairs
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems (as certified)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and on-call emergencies
- Maintain property grounds, lighting, and amenities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and Fair Housing guidelines
- Assist with vendor coordination and supervision when needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work order documentation
- Uphold company standards for customer service and professionalism
Required Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification (required)
- HVAC certification or hands-on HVAC experience (preferred)
- Minimum 2+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Skills
- Experience with make-ready units and occupied service work
- On-call availability (rotational)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-occupancy communities
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time position
- On-call rotation required
