Position Overview
The Superintendent will oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating various teams, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site.
- Manage subcontractor performance to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct safety orientations for all personnel.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, addressing any schedule or project changes as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to construction practices.
- Prepare and manage deficiency lists and punch lists to ensure timely resolutions.
- Facilitate subcontractor meetings to discuss project progress and resolve issues.
- Oversee labor costs, supervision costs, and financial monitoring for projects.
- Collaborate with project management teams on preconstruction planning and scheduling.
- Ensure effective communication between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction management practices and project scheduling.
- Experience with quality control and financial management in construction projects.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Proficient in Bluebeam and other construction management software.
- Experience with Healthcare Projects is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
