Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Full-Time & Part-Time Shifts Available

Shifts Available:

7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shift)

5:00 PM – 11:00 PM

11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (overnight)
Schedule: Includes weekdays and every other weekend (required)

Description:
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support an individual with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This position involves assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication assistance, and emptying a colostomy bag throughout the shift. A Hoyer lift is used for safe transfers.

Responsibilities:

Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

Support mobility needs using a Hoyer lift

Empty and maintain colostomy bag as needed during shift

Administer medications in accordance with Medicaid guidelines (must be Med Valid)

Assist with meal preparation and feeding

Monitor and document daily care and progress

Engage consumer in appropriate social and recreational activities

Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment

Communicate effectively with the care team and family members

Requirements:

Must meet Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) qualifications

Medicaid Medication Validation required (current/valid certification)

Experience with Hoyer lift and colostomy care preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

High school diploma or GED

Ability to pass background screening and drug test

CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or willing to obtain)

Availability to work every other weekend is required
