- Assist in preparing patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and providing comfort.
- Provide patients with clear instructions regarding post-visit care, medication use, and follow-up appointments.
- Demonstrating age-specific competencies to provide safe, effective, and personalized care. Can understand and address the physical, emotional, developmental, and social needs of each age group to ensure high-quality care:
- Respond to medical emergencies, provide basic first aid, and assist in stabilizing patients
- Provides care with cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date patient records by entering data, filing documents, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform general office tasks such as answering phones, handling, and managing medical supply and equipment inventory.
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claims processing under the guidance of experienced staff.
- Perform Pre-Visit Planning to gather information needed before the patient visit.
- Respond to telephone encounters and actions promptly
