Maintenance Technician
Location: Ocala, FL 34480
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
(Training: 2 weeks, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM before transitioning to nights)
Duration: 4+ months (possible extension)
Pay Rate: $28.62/hour (W2, no benefits)
Job Summary
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and help keep our production operations running at peak performance. You’ll perform mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll maintain and repair production machinery, troubleshoot PLC and electrical issues, and support overall plant efficiency. This role requires strong technical skills, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Support equipment upgrades, welding, and light fabrication work.
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance records (MRO).
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and production staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical training/certification in electrical, mechanical, or related field.
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, welding, and fabrication skills.
- Familiar with MRO processes and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
- Stand for up to 10–12 hours; climb stairs/ladders as needed.
- Perform repetitive movements, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Work in variable temperature or noise environments.
- Use required PPE: steel-toed shoes, eye and hearing protection, long-sleeved clothing.
- Overtime as required.
