Commissioning Manager Solar Analytics (Remote with Travel)

Summary:

  • Job Title: Commissioning Manager Solar Analytics
  • Job Location: Remote (Travel up to 20% within the U.S. to project sites and headquarters in Juno Beach, FL)
  • Expected Contract Length/Duration: 12 months

Overview of the Role:
Join a leading force in the renewable energy industry as a Commissioning Manager in Solar Analytics. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the performance and compliance of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems. Your expertise will drive the successful startup, commissioning, and testing of large-scale solar projects, contributing to a sustainable energy future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct performance analytics of PV systems, including inverters, trackers, substations, and SCADA control systems.
  • Oversee ISO/GIA/PPA testing and energy forecasting during system startups.
  • Act as the Owners representative, ensuring compliance, reporting, and commissioning work by contractors/vendors.
  • Collaborate with IT & SCADA teams for functional checks and schedule development.
  • Verify SCADA HMI functionality and support critical point checkouts.
  • Review performance data to identify and address deficiencies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in utility solar power systems.
  • Knowledge of utility-scale PV construction, commissioning, and components (e.g., PV modules, inverters, transformers).
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and grid participants like Transmission Operators or ISOs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
