CSNF is currently recruiting a Theranostic Nurse for our busy Specialty Practice offering a GENEROUS SIGN-ON BONUS. The Theranostic Registered Nurse facilitates the radioligand therapeutic education and treatment of CSNF patients and assists with imaging patients as needed under the guidance of the Imaging Manager/Theranostics Lead Technologist, and Radiation Oncologist/Authorized User. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Initiate and maintain intravenous/port/central line access for all therapy patients
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess for adverse symptoms prior to and during therapy
- Patient and caregiver education on treatment plans, expectations, side effect management, and after-care instructions
- Communicate with managers, providers, and patient care team
- HIPPA compliance and timely documentation in EMR
- Schedule and manage follow-up visits, laboratory monitoring, and infusion appointments
- Communicate patient status changes promptly to the multidisciplinary team
- Assists with delivering theranostic agent to patient according to CSNF protocol
- Assist with port and IV access for imaging patients as needed
- Respond to imaging department patient hypersensitivity reactions
- Familiar with radiation safety and protection, ALARA principals
- All other duties as assigned
Full-time Position, Monday – Friday
Education and Experience:
- Strong IV skills
- Radiology experience preferred
- 1 year of nursing experience required
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or BMTCN preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Active Florida Registered Nursing License required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) designation preferred
