Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and dump trucks to prepare and lay asphalt or concrete surfaces efficiently and safely
- Manage crews list for each job site
- Manage all aspects of paving (leeboy pavers)
- Coordinate with team members to execute paving operations according to project specifications and safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment like paving machines and trucks, performing basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of work progress, equipment usage, and safety checks throughout each shift
- Support site cleanup and prepare materials for subsequent phases of construction
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as Leeboy paving machines, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and paving machinery
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to adhere strictly to OSHA standards
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor equipment issues promptly
- Prior experience working on paving or concrete projects is highly preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards
