JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE
The Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tasks related to product research and development.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

• Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Utilizes cosmetic, organic and pharmaceutical raw materials.
• Produces samples to be marketed and distributed in the Health and Beauty industry.
• Performs stability on all products formulated and manufactured.
• Maintains open communication with Marketing, Bulk Manufacturing, Quality and Stability departments.
• Interact directly with Product Development chemists with daily issues and make suggestions on all projects.
• Mixes, weighs, heats, cools, and performs many other related tasks. Follows recipes (formulas) issued by R&D Chemists.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School or associate’s degree with 2 years of experience working in pharmaceutical industry or equivalent education and work history.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• In the office environment Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm (60-minute lunch) or 8:30am to 5pm (30-minute lunch)
• Business casual attire with closed toe footwear.
