Our client, an innovative technology company recognized as a leader in the Model, Simulation, and Training (MS&T), is looking for a Project/Field Engineer to join their Simulation team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. What will you be doing?
As a Project/Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the design (including scope and cost estimation), installation (including managing external resources), and support of assigned projects. You will work in close collaboration with the project manager to ensure project success.
The ideal candidate should have a relevant BS degree and/or applicable IT/Electronics certification, and possess experience with the installation and commissioning of simulators.
This is a fully onsite position based in the Fort Lauderdale office and requires 50% domestic travel.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing project technical specifications, system design drawings, and scope of supply.
- Aid in on-site installation, assembly, and commissioning of simulators.
- Participation in FAT/SAT, and coordinating with customer representatives and other suppliers.
- Provided technical solutions utilizing preferred models and vendors for third-party equipment.
- Customer support via email, phone, and on-site during customer visits.
- Ensuring quality control of completed work.
- Continuous professional improvement.
- Adhering to health and safety requirements as applicable.
- Complying with the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Following internal company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Technical apprenticeship and/or relevant BS degree and/or applicable IT/Electronics certification.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Experience managing simulation projects in the field.
- Knowledge of low voltage electronics wiring.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and work onsite in Fort Lauderdale.
- Experience with PC/Network installation and commissioning.
- At least one year of apprenticeship or relevant work experience.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, including technical language.
- Proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office, IT hardware, and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Skills in CAD, Visio, and XML are an advantage.
- Simulation experience is a plus but not required.
