Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a high-acuity acute care hospital environment in Fort Pierce, Florida. This position offers exposure to a broad range of clinical areas, including critical care, emergency services, cardiovascular care, and surgical services. The role is ideal for respiratory therapists who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity settings and prefer a night shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure

Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery systems, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy

Assist with placement, maintenance, and management of artificial airways

Initiate, monitor, and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
-
Evaluate patient response to therapies and intervene appropriately for adverse or unexpected outcomes

Assist with the transport of ventilator-dependent patients

Respond to emergency situations, ensuring airway stability and effective ventilation during resuscitation efforts

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

Active Florida Respiratory Therapy license
-
Associate Degree from an accredited respiratory care program

BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)

ACLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)

Strong clinical judgment with the ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity acute care environment
