Quest International is hiring a Field Service Technician based in the Miami, FL area to support customers across Florida and surrounding regions. You’ll be servicing A/V and electro-mechanical equipment in medical, industrial, and regulated environments.
This is a true field service role. You will be on-site at customer locations performing installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on deployed equipment. This is not an IT, helpdesk, or desk-based position.

Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour (DOE)
Hourly, non-exempt role
Overtime and travel-related premiums may apply based on workload and scheduling
Schedule & Hours
Monday–Friday, daytime hours
On-call rotation as business needs require
40 hours per week standard, with flexibility for service demand
Job Summary
This role supports installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair of A/V and electro-mechanical systems in medical and other regulated environments.
Technicians work independently in the field, travel between customer sites, represent Quest International professionally, and ensure equipment reliability, compliance, and uptime. This is an equipment-facing, hands-on role — not desk-based.
Essential Functions
Perform hands-on troubleshooting on assigned service calls
Install, maintain, and repair A/V and electro-mechanical systems
Mount monitors, speakers, racks, and related hardware
Run, terminate, and test cabling (HDMI, Coax, Cat5/Cat6, USB)
Perform FRU-level repairs and component replacement
Provide phone support to customers and other field technicians as needed
Participate in on-call rotation for urgent service issues
Coordinate parts shipments, returns, and inventory usage
Document service activity clearly, accurately, and on time
Follow safety, quality, and compliance standards at all customer sites
Required Skills & Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
This role requires prior hands-on field service experience.
Candidates must demonstrate experience servicing A/V, electro-mechanical, or related equipment in customer environments and be able to troubleshoot equipment down to the Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) level.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters is required. Familiarity with cable media including HDMI, Coax, USB, and Cat5/Cat6 is expected.
Hands-on experience mounting equipment and working with control systems, amplifiers, DSPs, switchers, and PC-based interfaces is required.
Strong customer communication skills, documentation ability, and comfort working independently are essential.
Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs as required in the field.
Travel Requirements
Up to 80% regional travel
Home most weekends
Ability to manage travel bookings and expense reporting
Valid driver’s license required
Preferred / Bonus Experience
Additional A/V field service experience
Low-voltage or CCTV systems experience
Equipment-focused technical certifications
