Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support middle school students in Sarasota, FL, through a contract position lasting the current school year. This role serves students at two schools, offering the chance to work within modern facilities and diverse programs.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive speech and language services to approximately 60 students at a middle school with a self-contained/cluster program for Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD), as well as supporting several specialized units at a nearby K-8 school, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Early Childhood Special Education (ESE) programs. Caseloads will focus on middle-school-aged children and younger students in early intervention settings.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Florida SLP license (candidates completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered)
  • Experience working with school-aged children across diverse special education settings
  • Ability to manage caseloads independently within school environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families

  • Full-time hours with caseload split between two schools
  • Opportunity to work on-site with the option for some virtual support
