Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-year contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work in a pediatric outpatient clinic setting serving a K-12 school-aged population in Tavernier, FL. This role focuses on supporting children aged 2 to 18 with mild to moderate speech and language challenges, including pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading and writing delays, articulation, and high-functioning autism.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech-language therapy under the supervision of licensed SLPs
- Conducting one-on-one sessions with children in a low-stress outpatient environment
- Supporting children with developmental and communication delays
- Collaborating with clinical and educational staff to meet student needs
- Maintaining accurate documentation for each therapy session
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with experience in school or healthcare settings
- Comfort working with pediatric populations, especially ages 2-18
- Ability to engage children with mild to moderate speech, language, and autism-related challenges
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to consistent attendance for the full contract school year (CSY)
