SUMMARY:

The Education & Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for the promotion, coordination, and operational support of Chapman Partnership’s education, training, and workforce development programs. This role plays a central part in engaging clients, ensuring program delivery, and fostering skill development that leads to long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

A primary responsibility of this position is the supervision of clients participating in CP Works, Chapman Partnership’s bridge employment initiative. These clients will report directly to the Coordinator, who will oversee their daily work assignments, conduct regular site visits to monitor performance, and hold one-on-one advancement advising sessions to support skill growth, career readiness, and transition into permanent employment opportunities.

The Coordinator also assists with program scheduling, recruitment, workshop facilitation, and administrative functions, while serving as a liaison to internal teams, instructors, community partners, and employers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise clients participating in CP Works, providing daily direction, performance monitoring, and skill development guidance.
  • Conduct regular site visits to CP Works employment locations to ensure quality of work, address issues, and support client progress.
  • Hold one-on-one advancement advising sessions with CP Works participants to review performance, set career goals, and identify opportunities for skill-building and training.
  • Support the execution of education, training, and workforce development programs by coordinating schedules, monitoring attendance, and ensuring program logistics run smoothly.
  • Assist with recruitment of clients into education and workforce initiatives, ensuring appropriate placement and engagement.
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate professional development, work readiness, and life skills workshops.
  • Monitor classrooms and training areas to maintain a conducive learning environment and minimize disruptions.
  • Track client progress and prepare reports, documenting all interactions in HMIS or other required systems.
  • Assist clients with job readiness activities, including resume development, interview preparation, and addressing barriers to employment.
  • Coordinate with employers and community partners to support job placement efforts.
  • Perform basic administrative duties, including scheduling, correspondence, filing (physical and electronic), and data entry.
  • Contribute to the innovation and improvement of e-learning curriculum and program offerings.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, instructors, internal teams, and external partners to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in event planning and execution, ensuring adherence to program budgets where applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Education & Workforce Development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, with preference for candidates with education, workforce development, or training backgrounds.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in program coordination, client supervision, or related work; experience with workforce development programs preferred.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of workforce development practices and employment barriers faced by vulnerable populations.
  • Strong supervision and coaching skills with the ability to guide clients toward employment success.
  • Knowledge of community employment resources and employer networks in Miami-Dade County.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work a flexible schedule, including evening hours (weekday schedule of 12pm–8pm).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Creole preferred.
  • Professional, adaptable, respectful, and calm under pressure.
