Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience

About the Role
We are seeking a Supervisor / Lead Installer to oversee and participate in the installation of commercial frames, doors, hardware, storefront systems, and glazing. This role combines hands-on installation expertise with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. The Supervisor / Lead Installer will serve as the field leader, coordinating crews, mentoring installers, and acting as the primary liaison with project managers and clients on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Field Supervision & Leadership
- Lead installation crews on commercial projects, providing direction, training, and quality oversight.
- Ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Act as the point of contact on job sites, coordinating with project managers, general contractors, and clients.
- Monitor daily progress, resolve field issues, and report project status to management.
Installation & Technical Work
- Perform and oversee the installation of hollow metal frames, solid core wood doors, interior aluminum storefront systems, and glazing.
- Install and troubleshoot commercial hardware systems, including mechanical locks, electrified hardware, and access control devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to guide installation teams.
- Conduct final inspections to ensure proper fit, function, and compliance with project requirements.
Project & Safety Management
- Plan daily crew assignments and allocate resources effectively.
- Enforce job site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and project progress.
- Provide input to management on crew performance and training needs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in commercial door, frame, and hardware installation; at least 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hollow metal frames, wood doors, glazing, aluminum storefronts, and security/electrified hardware.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction documents; skilled with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and installation techniques.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to supervise crews, mentor installers, and resolve field issues effectively.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a background check, and willingness to travel to job sites across Florida.
