Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare facility in Bonita Springs, FL is seeking a dedicated clinical pharmacist for an overnight interim position on a contract basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your inpatient pharmacy expertise within a dynamic hospital setting supporting approximately 200 patients daily.
Schedule:
- 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
- Payroll week Sunday through Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy of medications dispensed overnight
- Supervise pharmacy technician activities during the shift
- Collaborate with technicians who prepare IV medications, manage phone calls, and handle medication requests
- Utilize the EPIC order entry system and work with Omnicell Cabinets and robotic automation (training provided)
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and professional dress code (teal scrubs or professional attire with white coat)
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Florida pharmacist license required
- Proven inpatient pharmacy experience, particularly in a hospital setting
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Experience with electronic order entry systems, preferably EPIC
- Familiarity with automated dispensing technology such as Omnicell is a plus
