Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking, on behalf of our client, an experienced Plaintiff Legal Assistant / Paralegal for the firm’s Coral Gables office. Position Summary:
The Legal Assistant / Paralegal will support attorneys handling plaintiff litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in plaintiff-side litigation, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, trial-focused practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, draft, and proofread pleadings, discovery responses, and other legal documents.

File documents electronically in state and federal courts.

Manage attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, and client meetings.

Organize and maintain case files (physical and electronic).

Coordinate service of process, subpoenas, and document deliveries.

Communicate professionally with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel.

Assist with all aspects of trial preparation, including preparation of exhibits, trial binders, and witness lists.

Perform general administrative and case management tasks as needed.
Qualifications:

Minimum 2 + years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in plaintiff-side litigation.

Strong knowledge of court procedures and e-filing systems (Florida Courts E-Portal, CM/ECF).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
Preferred:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Trial experience or familiarity with trial preparation.
