National Full-Service Firm is looking for an IP Associate Litigator to join their growing Washington, D.C. team! This well-established firm is recognized nationally for its litigation and intellectual property capabilities, representing Fortune 500 clients and emerging technology companies alike. Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of IP litigation in federal courts, including case strategy, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and dispositive motions
- Manage expert discovery, including depositions and coordination with technical experts
- Participate in PTAB and TTAB proceedings
- Collaborate with partners and clients to develop and execute litigation strategy
- Support appeals before the Federal Circuit and other appellate courts
Engage in enforcement and defense of patent, trademark, and trade secret rights
Work closely with cross-office teams and subject matter experts
Job Details
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in IP litigation
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; D.C. admission preferred
- Experience with patent or trademark litigation in federal court and/or before the ITC or PTAB
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- USPTO registration or technical background is preferred but not required
- Comfortable managing multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with client communication and case management
