Quality Final Inspector

Job Hours:
7:00am-3:30pm shift, Mon-Fri / Flexible to work extended hours as needed
Job Summary:
The Quality Final Inspector inspects production assembly components by sight and measuring to ensure mechanical assemblies conform to engineering drawings. Space Machine supports the aerospace and defense industries. Duties include first article inspections, inspection for conformity to plans, process verification, reporting inspection results, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection of mechanical assemblies and sub-components using a variety of precision measuring equipment.
- Proficient in interpreting complex engineering drawings, including feature controls, tolerances, and functional requirements.
- Verify mechanical dimensions to customer prints and flow downs.
- Collaborate with operations on a daily basis to ensure product conformance.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
- Operate equipment safely in accordance with SME standards.
- Complete all production and quality paperwork as required.
- Compile digital packages as required by customer.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience is required.
- Strong understanding of AS9100, ITAR, CUI, CMMC, DPAS, DFARS requirements.
- CMM programming and operation.
- The ability to read and interpret the requirements of drawings GD&T.
- Experience in the use of mechanical measuring tools (electronic height gauges, calipers, gauge pins, etc.).
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines.
- Ability to develop and maintain a positive collaborative relationship with peers and colleagues.
- Strong communication skills. Able to work as part of a team and independently.
- Experience inspecting machined parts with tolerances of +/-.0005”
- Experience inspecting components and assemblies.
- Able to work additional hours when required.
- U. S. citizenship required or permanent Resident card
Physical Aspects/Work Environment:
- Regularly required to stand, sit, and view parts through a microscope and borescope.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
