The Position
X-1FBO is a rapidly growing aviation technology company, delivering cutting-edge solutions and world-class support to our global network of FBOs. We are seeking a resourceful, detail-oriented Implementation Support Specialist to join our Implementation team. In this role, you will support the Implementation Manager by assisting with new customer setups, preparing environments, helping facilitate
training, and leading check-in calls for FBOs in the onboarding queue. This position requires significant travel (up to 68 weeks at a time, home on weekends) to support on-site go-lives and hands-on setup.
This is not a customer support role, and it is not a project leadership roleit is hands-on, tactical, behind-the-scenes execution with customer-facing elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Implementation Manager in preparing new customer environments for onboarding
- Lead training and/or check-in calls with FBOs in the implementation queue when assigned
- Travel to customer sites to support hardware deployment, go-live activities, and on-site training
- Support data entry, product setup, and system configuration prior to Go-Live
- Provide proactive communication and follow-up with both internal stakeholders and external clients
- Maintain clear documentation of activities, timelines, and deliverables throughout onboarding
- Contribute to continuous improvement of onboarding playbooks and processes
Qualifications:
- Aviation & Technology Expertise: The ideal candidate speaks aviation and has a knack for technology. A strong understanding of general and business aviation will ensure smoother in-roads to success in the role. FBO experience is required. X-1FBO experience is highly preferred.
- Skilled Communicator: You must be able to effectively correspond with customers and colleagues, as well as deliver engaging presentations (e.g., training sessions) to diverse audiences.
- Flexibility & Passion for Travel: You are flexible and have a love for travel, willing to embrace the demands of the role. You thrive in changing environments and can adapt quickly to new teams and operations.
- Honest & Accountable: You take pride in being honest and accountable, demonstrating integrity in all aspects of your work.
- Detail-Oriented: You take pride in getting things done right the first time, especially when it comes to system setups and data accuracy.
- People Person: Youre approachable, patient, and professional with everyone from front desk staff to executives. You build relationships easily and can adjust your communication style based on the audience.
- Independent but Collaborative: You dont need your hand held, but you also know when to loop in the right team members.

Performance Objectives:
Objective 1:
In your first 30 days, get up to speed with our customers, X-1FBO products, implementation methodology, and travel logistics.
- Develop a deep understanding of the implementation process
- Begin to contribute to customer implementations that are underway
- Shadow the Implementation Manager on internal calls, customer meetings, and Go Live prep
- Build familiarity with key internal tools (Zoho Desk/Projects, Outlook/Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive)
- Travel with
X-1FBO team members to shadow on-site training and/or Go Live
Objective 2:
In the first 60 days, demonstrate a complete understanding of the products and services offered and continue to contribute to current implementationsthat are underway
- Begin to handle setup implementation tasks independently
- Participate in internal debriefs to report onsite observations and customer sentiment
- Travel with X-1FBO team member and assist with on-site training
Objective 3:
Within 3 months, act as the primary on-site X-1 presence for training and Go Live support and complete setup with minimal oversight
- Travel solo and feel confident being a reliable on-site presence.
- Proactively ensure successful adoption of the system for Go Live.
- Host webinar training and on-site training sessions independently.
- Continuously contribute to onboarding team resources, documentation, and process optimization
- Demonstrate command of all X-1 product offerings and understanding of the complete implementation process
