The Physical Security SR Manager will support all business units within Mosaic Health and is responsible for leading a Physical Security Team to manage physical security programs and systems across the enterprise to define best practices and streamline processes which align with enterprise strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serves as point of contact for security vendors regarding installation, service and preventative maintenance across the enterprise related to security system integrators and removing barriers during the development of technical solutions.
- Briefs management on the status of security issues, vendor compliance issues and physical security audit compliance.
- Develops technical policy & procedure references and ensure they align with national and/or global security & safety standards.
- Serves as liaison with other department stakeholders for all security projects and as the company's security resource and security systems expert.
- Manages the spend of capital funding for the security programs to ensure adherence to security & safety standards are applied to all sites. Reviews scope of work changes to ensure consistency across the enterprise.
- Develops, implements, and / or manages policies, procedures, standards, training and methods for identifying and protecting intellectual property assets, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of on-site security managers and ensures their actions comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets corporate and customer needs.
- Measures efficiency and effectiveness of security operations procedures to obtain, maintain, secure, analyze, account for, and provide information from assessment reports.
- Presents security program information to large employee groups. Handles complex security improvement programs across business units, service organizations, and regional geographies. Maintains business plans and close relationships with high-level law enforcement, intelligence community, and private sector counterparts.
- Skilled in the conduct, evaluation, and adjudication of a wide range of sensitive investigations, knowledgeable and experienced in the use of overt and covert investigative tools and is aware of legal ramifications involving investigation techniques, procedures, and individual rights.
- Serves as a resource and/or subject matter expert on all security matters, emergency response, workplace violence, crisis management, contingency planning, labor relations, and related topics.
- Collaborates with corporate security management and facility services staff to ensure a consistent, common application of corporate security policies, programs, and procedures.
- Implements procedures and systems for visitor control, associate identification, and the safeguard of organization facilities, equipment, materials, and property.
- Supports facility management to respond to and deal with security related incidents and crises.
- Provides oversight to and coordinates the implementation of comprehensive corporate strategies to ensure a safe and secure environment involving confidential and proprietary business interests.
- Ensures implementation and use of new corporate security solutions and processes in a consistent way in cooperation with other corporate functions, including efficient communication and change management.
- Briefs senior and executive management on the status of security issues or concerns.
- Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires a BS/BA degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, Sociology, or Psychology or a related field of study
- Minimum of 5 years of security or law enforcement experience to include investigations, supervision and managing others
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in delivering security operations
- Understanding of the administration and operation of various physical security technologies to include closed circuit TV systems, access control, intrusion alarm, and incident reporting software and hardware.
- Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- A commitment to providing excellent service to internal team members and patients.
- High level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) strongly preferred.
- Certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (ASIS), Physical Security Professional (PSP) Certification, Physical security software factory certifications are strongly preferred.
- Member of The International Crime Prevention Through Environment Design Association.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion.
- Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift to 15 lbs. independently not to exceed 50 lbs. without help.
