We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment for all team members.
Requirements:
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in Refrigeration, HVAC, or related field preferred.
- Universal EPA Certification required; RETA or IIAR certifications strongly preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in industrial refrigeration (ammonia and CO2 preferred).
- At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Strong background in refrigeration system installation, commissioning, and service.
Physical and Work Requirements:
- Ability to work in cold storage and industrial plant environments.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in elevated areas.
- Travel to project locations.
