NSC Technologies is looking for Marine Carpenters. The Carpenter performs a variety of skilled mechanical duties involving working with equipment, working with Nomex panels, installing various materials, and working with drydock block and crate building. The Carpenter operates equipment for assembly and installation; and follows specified safety policies and procedures.
CARPENTER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must demonstrate an advanced knowledge of skills, functional knowledge, and abilities to perform tasks in these related areas of responsibility
- Must be able to use hand saws, grinders, table saws, planers, and drill presses (wood and metal frames).
- Conduct inspections and observing how to document imperfections
- Handle electrical grade matting, terrazzo, PRC, Vinyl, etc.
- Layout and fabricate a set of steps and handrails
- Read advanced blueprints for measurements
- Utilize hand and power tools to perform carpentry tasks, including framing and trim work.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate construction and installation.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to maintain workflow and safety.
- Implement mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the building process.
- Engage in woodworking and other relevant tasks to meet project specifications
- Must have 6 Years experience
- Must pass a background check for Naval base access
