Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a vibrant Florida school setting. This contract role offers the chance to work on-site within several schools serving diverse student populations from elementary through high school levels.
Location: Apopka, FL (serving multiple schools including high school, middle school, and elementary campuses in the surrounding area).
Job Duration: Current School Year Contract, ending May 27, 2026, with an immediate start date preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language support services under supervision to students across K-12 settings.
- Collaborate with speech pathologists, educators, and school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Participate in assessments and progress monitoring to contribute toward student communication goals.
- Support various assignments, including full-time, part-time, and maternity leave coverage roles.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Florida State License.
- Bachelors degree in Speech-Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience working with children in educational settings strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple schools with itinerant responsibilities.
- Must have supervision support from licensed speech-language pathologists.
