Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized speech-language services for a diverse pediatric population in a vibrant South Florida setting. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work one-on-one with children aged 2 to 18 in an outpatient clinic attached to a K-12 school environment, focusing on individualized treatment plans for a range of mild to moderate speech and language challenges.
Location: Key Largo, FL
Job Type: Contract (1-year duration with possibility for extension or permanent placement)
Setting: Pediatric outpatient clinic within a K-12 educational framework
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, writing delays, articulation, and social communication skills for children on the autism spectrum (primarily high-functioning).
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions without group settings.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to collaborate with educators and families.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring to inform therapeutic decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Pediatric experience preferred, particularly in outpatient or school settings.
- Eligible for or completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Skilled in working with school-aged children from preschool through high school.
- Strong knowledge of speech-language disorders including autism spectrum disorders, articulation, and language delays.
