Reports to: Maintenance Manager / Plant Manager

Location: Miami, FL

Schedule: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of all manufacturing and facility equipment. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, supports production teams, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues quickly and safely to minimize downtime.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and upgrades.
  • Perform equipment alignments, lubrication, inspections, and calibration as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts usage, and work orders in the CMMS or designated system.
  • Collaborate closely with production and engineering to identify and resolve recurring equipment issues.
  • Follow all company safety policies, including lockout/tagout, PPE, and housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with process improvement and efficiency initiatives to support plant performance goals.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for routine maintenance.
  • Participate in plant shutdowns, equipment rebuilds, and reliability improvement projects.


Qualifications


Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work including standing, bending, and climbing.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.


Preferred:

  • Vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field.
  • Experience with roll-forming machinery or metal fabrication equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and control systems.
  • Welding, fabrication, or machining experience.
  • Experience with CMMS or maintenance tracking systems.
