Northlake is under new management and we are looking for a new transformational leader to help us make it the top Assisted Living Facility in Broward County. The successful candidate should excel under pressure, be comfortable working and leading independently and bring strong emotional intelligence that strengthens your staff and makes our Residents and their loved ones feel welcomed and cared for.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. 10 years of experience in Assisted Living Facilities and management.
2. CORE Training and licensed to be Florida ALF Administrator.
3. Experience with facility transitions and build ups.
4. Must be able to process Medicaid Billing for our residents through the Availity Medicaid platform.
5. Available to start within 2 weeks.
6. Nurse certifications like LPN preferred.
OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs supervisory, administrative, and management functions involved in property operations.
• Supervises and motivates all assigned staff by guiding, directing and training.
• Prepares and monitors daily, weekly, and monthly vacancies and delinquency reports with the business owner.
• Coordinates follow-up and initiation of work orders and requests for maintenance work with maintenance manager.
• Monitors contractors rendering services on the property.
• Inspects all units and grounds for maintenance and repair requirements to ensure that maintenance personnel and residents are maintaining units and grounds in a decent, safe, and sanitary manner and directs resident and maintenance supervisor in remedying any noted deficiencies.
• Responds to emergencies during working and non-working hours.
• Conducts and maintains perpetual and annual inventories of supplies and equipment and reviews requisitions for the purchase of supplies and equipment.
• Investigates written and/or verbal resident and family complaints and resolves them when possible;
• Oversees all aspects of health care delivery to make sure resources are used wisely.
• Establish written policies and procedures and a system to enforce them. Be proactive in preventing problems particularly those involving the welfare and safety of residents and the staff.
• Supports implementation of marketing plan, in collaboration with the Owner. Conduct outreach activities with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, doctor’s offices, aging agencies, senior living centers, within the building and within the community to ensure the facility achieves full occupancy. Establish/maintain relationships with the community agencies.
• Oversees the development of the service plans and service logs in collaboration with the resident care director. Oversee the maintenance of service plans and logs.
• Reviews all resident and personnel files and documentation on a regular basis.
• Develops the admission/discharge register and oversee the development of the daily census by the residential care director.
• Supervises and manages the admission, retention and discharge of residents in consultation with the Owner, including all marketing functions, move-ins, residents’ records, service plans, health services and others. Discharge residents and complete all forms and files.
• Supervises the delivery of all residential and client activities and services.
• Completes performance appraisals for all staff and reviews no less than semi-annually with the Owner.
• Develops one-to-one relationships with residents and families. Works with residents’ families in discussion about best service to residents, arranging for special activities/services and in resolving any issues. Respond to inquiries from resident, responsible parties and families.
• Oversees medication duties of staff and review their performance on a regular basis.
• Works collaboratively with the contract nurse to identify issues for review and work together to find solutions to these issues. Reviews reports and supervises completion of action items.
• Stays informed on changes in health services and government regulations.
• Enforces the risk management plan including reviewing the incident reports and the quality assurance plan.
• Visits resident units to ensure housekeeping and services are being delivered correctly.
• Makes sure the organization is ready to handle an emergency. Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
• Establishes and maintains a good rapport with the public, fellow employees, residents, and other housing authorities; and promulgates and maintains Florida AHCA policies, rules and applicable regulations.
• Assists in the preparation of the annual budget for the property; reviews and approves payroll time cards; reviews and monitors all property reports for compliance with operating standards; assures accuracy and timeliness of all reports submitted to the Owner.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
• Processes Florida Long Term Care – Medicaid billing each month.

• Personally conduct 10 tours monthly for private-pay prospects

• Reduce Medicaid percentage from 68% to under 40%
• Attend 2-3 community networking events monthly

• Achieve monthly revenue targets
• Maintain minimum monthly net income targets
• Keep overtime under 5% of labor costs
• Minimize bad debt to under 2% of revenue
• Monitor daily revenue and expenses

• Lead shift from medical model to hospitality focus

• Create vibrant activity programs and events
• Transform dining to restaurant-style experience
• Achieve resident satisfaction scores above 4.5/5.0
4. Strategic Initiatives (20% of Your Time)
• Weekly revenue reports to ownership

• Quarterly strategic progress updates
• Lead facility improvements and renovations
