CT Technologist Assistant - Position Summary

The CT Technologist Assistant supports the CT team by preparing patients and exam rooms, transporting patients, and assisting with departmental workflow to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality imaging services. This role helps maintain supplies, adheres to radiation safety and infection control standards, and assists CT technologists during procedures as directed. The CT Technologist Assistant plays a key role in patient comfort, department organization, and the smooth operation of daily CT services.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Transport patients safely to and from the CT department
• Prepare patients for CT examinations, including screening, consent verification, and patient education
• Assist with patient positioning and comfort under the direction of the CT technologist
• Prepare and clean CT exam rooms between patients in accordance with infection control policies
• Stock and maintain CT supplies, contrast materials, linens, and PPE
• Assist with contrast setup and room preparation (without administration, per policy)
• Communicate with nursing and clinical staff regarding patient readiness and exam status
• Support workflow efficiency during high-volume periods
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and departmental protocols
• Perform additional clerical or support tasks as needed to support CT operations

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or associate's degree preferred
• Clinical Experience Required.
