Location: 1350 Hickory St, Melbourne, FL 32901
Shift: Nights | 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Assignment Type: 13 Weeks
About the Position:
Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN to deliver comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity environment. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to monitor patients, administer medications, and respond to changing conditions using EPIC EMR.
Details:
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year recent MS/Tele experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Ratios: 1:6
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule cycle
- On-Call: Not required
- Floating: Required — may float to any Health First facility (Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera)
- Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
- Charting: EPIC (required)
Certifications & Licensure:
- Required Certifications:
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (Stroke Certification)
- Licensure: Active Florida RN License or Compact License (must be active at submission)
- Pending License: Not accepted
Additional Information:
- Locals: Accepted (same rate as travelers)
- References: Two professional references (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) from within the last year required with submission
- Flu Vaccine: Required between 10/31–3/31 (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
