FOKIS Mechanical is a mechanical contracting company specializing in Plumbing System Installations across healthcare, commercial, and institutional projects. With a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence, we are seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to oversee multiple projects and lead foremen and field teams in the execution of work. This role is critical to maintaining production standards, safety compliance, and project coordination across all plumbing operations.

Project Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Plumbing Superintendent with strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple active projects simultaneously, supervising Plumbing Foremen, coordinating manpower and materials, and ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. Bilingual English and Spanish highly desired!

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage multiple plumbing projects and job sites concurrently.

• Directly supervise, mentor, and support Plumbing Foremen and field leadership.

• Ensure all plumbing work complies with company standards, project specifications, and local plumbing codes.

• Coordinate manpower planning, crew allocation, and manpower leveling across projects.

• Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety plans.

• Review project schedules and ensure plumbing activities align with CM/GC schedules.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trade partners to resolve field issues.

• Monitor productivity, quality control, and installation sequencing across all projects.

• Oversee material planning, major material releases, and logistics coordination.

• Conduct routine jobsite visits, foreman meetings, and field audits.

• Assist with training, development, and performance evaluations of plumbing field leadership.


Qualifications:

· Experience:

· Minimum 8 years of commercial plumbing experience, including hands-on field installation.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in a Plumbing Foreman or equivalent leadership role.

· Demonstrated experience supervising multiple crews and foremen across active job sites.


Knowledge:

· Journeyman-level plumbing trade knowledge with superintendent-level oversight capability.

· Strong working knowledge of plumbing codes, system installation practices, and testing procedures.

· Supervision-level safety knowledge; OSHA 10/30 preferred.

· Trade management–level understanding of Procore and digital project execution tools.

· Moderate understanding of project budgets, labor forecasting, and man-loaded schedules.

· Ability to read, understand, and execute construction drawings, specifications, and CM/GC schedules.

· Working knowledge of healthcare construction environments, including coordination and cleanliness standards.


Skills:

· Ability to lead, supervise, and coordinate multiple Plumbing Foremen and crews.

· Direct and oversee site safety and manage project safety documents using a tablet or mobile device.

· Foreman-level ability to fit pipe and understand constructability challenges.

· Develop, track, and adjust manpower-loaded project schedules.

· Trade partner negotiations and professional CM/GC collaboration.

· Material ordering, logistics coordination, and field resource management.

· Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.


Metrics:

· Safety oversight and incident prevention across all plumbing operations.

· Manpower efficiency and schedule adherence.

· Quality of workmanship and reduction of rework.

· Foreman development, accountability, and performance.

· Professional collaboration with Project Management, Safety, and Trade Partners.


Minimum Hand Tools Required:

• Standard hand tools appropriate for a supervisory-level plumbing professional.
