Location: Fort Myers, FL
Pay: $18.00 – $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday‐Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | No weekends

Overview

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a busy surgical clinic in Fort Myers to find a dependable, bilingual Medical Assistant. If you are caring, organized, and comfortable balancing clinical and administrative tasks, this is a full‐time role where you’ll make a real difference in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight)
• Document patient medical history and maintain accurate records
• Assist during exams and minor procedures
• Remove sutures or staples as directed
• Prepare patients for upcoming procedures and help with post‐procedure care instructions
• Support front and back office tasks: data entry, scheduling, patient follow‐ups
• Verify insurance and assist with billing or coding tasks
• Maintain clean and ready examination rooms
• Help monitor and order medical supplies

Required Skills & Experience

• Bilingual: fluent Spanish and English, both spoken and written is a PLUS
• Prior clinical or medical office experience
• Strong familiarity with basic clinical tasks (vital signs, patient prep)
• Comfortable with medical terminology
• Good computer skills and experience with electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
