Senior Construction Project Manager – Miami, FL


A leading project management and owner’s representation firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee major Healthcare, Higher Education, and other institutional projects in the Miami region. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to drive complex projects from concept through completion.


This role requires strategic planning, client-facing leadership, and the ability to manage diverse teams while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality standards.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop detailed project execution plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
  • Identify risks early, create mitigation strategies, and maintain proactive contingency plans.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Manage day to day project operations and ensure quality, safety, and contractual compliance.
  • Mentor and guide project team members to support productivity and high performance.
  • Prepare clear and consistent project reporting, including progress updates, financial status, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate procurement, change management, and project documentation as necessary.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of project management experience, preferably in Healthcare, Higher Education, or commercial construction environments.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects from start to finish.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and external partners.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client service skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, schedules, budgets, and cost reports.
  • Proficiency with project management software.
