We are looking for 2 ESTIMATORS with COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION experience.

Seeking an Senior Estimator and Estimator both. Each must have 5 years experience estimating commercial construction with each title.

The individual must have 5 years experience estimating commercial construction. The individual must have a proven track record while being professional and a motivated self-starter with a minimum of 5 years proven successful Commercial construction Estimating experience.

JOB FUNCTION:

Forecast project costs. Gathers details & compiles data to estimate all production & resource costs according to specifications. Fulfill the need for technical estimating pre construction services including detailed quantification of work items, preparations of conceptual estimates, bid solicitation, scope development and analysis, pricing and processing of computerized data.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Planning: The ability to understand, survey quantity skillfully and accurately.

Determine the type of building. Recognize the opportunities to value engineer design drawings. Identify document conflicts and determine strategy for bidding.

Disbursement of plans, specifications and addenda to bidders.

Bidding Process: Prepare estimate spreadsheet on Excel. Create complete bidders list from the PM Contacts in Outlook.

Complete subcontractor scope of work for each bidding project.

Correspond with Owners, Architects and Engineers. Coordinate with the Plans Coordinator on all bidding projects once a week (if needed daily).Use all data available to prepare bid so that bids are accurate to final job costs. Prepare proposals. Manage all bid day activities. Final Buyout: Assist Project Manager in contract negotiation. Communicate with Project Manager any RFI’s, or conflicts. Organizing: Perform accurate quantity take-offs. Computerized data input and estimate organization in software database. Solicitation of subcontractor/vendor quotations. Prepare the required documentation for the estimate review meeting and notify director of pre construction and other team members of date, time and location of review. Maintain bid bond request forms and contract review. Maintain proper files on each estimate. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with a commercial construction company.

Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements and identify potential cost factors.
Survey/Quantify Materials/Assemblies from Drawings.
Capable of Structural/Civil Estimates at DD / CD.
Demonstrates Knowledge of Conceptual Estimating.
Demonstrated proficiency in Interiors Estimating.
Preparation of detailed reports.
Makes recommendations for database pricing changes.
Demonstrated proficiency in Subcontractor knowledge
Demonstrated proficiency in OST / Bluebeam.
Utilize industry-standard estimation software and tools to generate detailed and competitive bids.
Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain pricing and cost information.
Prepare preliminary construction schedules and coordinate all aspects of preconstruction.
Review project specifications and drawings to assist in development of bid packages.
Evaluate bids from subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Monitor project costs throughout construction process, identify any discrepancies, analyze project expenditures against budgeted targets.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to create cost effective solutions.
Maintain accurate records pertaining to the projects.
