Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator to join a high-performing IT team supporting a multi-site environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Windows systems administration, enterprise networking, and infrastructure support. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of a distributed IT environment that supports both office and field-based users.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
Handle user provisioning, access control, SSO, MFA, and Azure AD/Entra ID.
Administer Fortinet firewalls and VPN configurations.
Support and secure file servers, email systems, endpoint protection, and disaster recovery solutions.
Monitor system performance and apply timely patches, updates, and security measures.
Oversee virtualization platforms (Azure, Hyper-V).
Serve as 2nd/3rd level escalation for help desk tickets across multiple office locations.
Support enterprise software, hardware, and networking needs across offices and remote users.
Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and cloud integrations.
Maintain accurate system documentation and configuration records.
Manage and track software licenses and vendor subscriptions.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in Windows systems administration.
Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting.
Familiarity with Azure Virtualization and Microsoft 365 environments.
Experience with Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate, FortiClient EMS) and VPN configurations.
Working knowledge of core networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, file systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, Fortinet NSE, etc.
Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
Exposure to the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry or related software tools.
Familiarity with or experience supporting:
Microsoft SQL Server, ETL, and Power BI
CAD/GIS software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS)
Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP/Project Management tools
PeerGFS, Paessler PRTG, Veeam
ConnectWise (ScreenConnect, RMM)
KnowBe4 Security Awareness tools
Adobe Creative Suite
