GA Foods is seeking a Stocker-Packer – TMS/Shelf Stable Line. The individual in this role will be responsible for packing and stocking cold and dry components as directed by Supervisors, including but not limited to packing meals, moving and lifting boxes and more.

Essential Functions:

  • Primary job duties are performed by hand packing and stocking dry/cold/wet components, grasping, folding, stocking, pressing, and lifting.
  • Able to maintain a stocking and packing rate of at least 40 meal trays per minute.
  • Stock ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products on shelves or storage areas in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Assist in setting up the production line, including placing packaging materials, ingredients, and other supplies in their designated areas.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (food safety) guidelines and hygiene practices, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Safely box, lift, and stock products in a clean, organized, and timely manner, ensuring products are correctly labeled and ready for distribution.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and timely manner (process is primarily manual with machine assistance), ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Inspect the product at all stages to ensure customer requirements, quality standards, and food safety regulations are met.
  • Participate in equipment and area cleaning in accordance with sanitation schedules and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on food safety practices, packaging techniques, and any new equipment or processes.
  • Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals, ensuring that all products are packed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Report any safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or product defects to supervisors immediately.
  • Assist in preparing production materials and supplies for future batches, ensuring the work area remains stocked and organized.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate production logs, including details of quantity packed, product type, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal food safety regulations and company-specific policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager, as needed, to support production goals and company operations.
  • Start Time: 7:00am-Until the end of production.

The position requires that an employee be capable of the following:

  • Meet the schedule requirements
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team atmosphere
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels, and postings in English effectively
  • Must be willing to participate in all tasks needed to get the job done - including end-of-shift clean-up/sanitation

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the shift
  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as machine operation, etc) most of the workday
  • Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves, but is not limited to: food debris, odors, constant equipment noise, temperature extremes, wet areas/water, or similar elements most of the workday
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, grasp, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks - primarily manual tasks - in a standing position for the entire shift.

Amount of Time:

  • Under 1/3: Walk, Talk or hear;
  • Over 2/3: See, Stand, Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms; Weight.


Lifting/Exertion:

  • Under 1/3: Up to 25 lbs.,
  • Over 2/3: Up to 10 lbs.
