Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available starting August 2025, serving PreK through 6th grade students in an elementary school setting located in Port Saint Lucie, FL. This contract role offers an opportunity to work with a caseload of approximately 40 students, providing essential speech and language services throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy targeting goals outlined in student IEPs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support communication skills across the school community.
  • Participate in district initiatives promoting positive school climate, cultural responsiveness, and social justice.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to school staff regarding strategies for supporting students with speech and language disorders.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Florida state licensure as an SLP.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations with cultural competence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
