Overview
A Heavy Equipment Operator plays a vital role in preparing construction sites for development. This position supports the groundwork and infrastructure that make every project possible — from clearing and grading to installing drainage and utilities. Heavy Equipment Operators ensure that each job site is safe, stable, and ready for the next phase of construction.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, and drainage work
- Operate the following:

- Bulldozer (GPS preferred)
- Excavator
- Skid Steer
- Backhoe
- Tractor
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures
- Support site supervisors and foremen to meet project goals
Qualifications
- Heavy equipment operator experience necessary
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential
Work Schedule
- Full-time position, approximately 45-50 hours per week
- Overtime and Saturdays as necessary
- Overtime pay after 40 hours
