Position: Gate Technician / Low Voltage Specialist
Location: Greater Fort Lauderdale Area, FL
Job Type: Full-Time (40+ hours/week)
Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Based in the greater Fort Lauderdale area, we specialize in automated gates, access control systems, and related low-voltage security solutions. We're seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our growing Service Team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for multiple motivated Gate Technicians / Low Voltage Specialists to perform service, maintenance, and installation of automated gate systems and associated low-voltage equipment. The ideal candidates will have experience in gate and access controls, as well as low-voltage wiring, an understanding of electrical schematics, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be interacting directly with clients and team members.
We are hiring for our West Broward and East Broward locations, and also looking for a remote based tech for the Miami-Dade market.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install, maintain, and repair automated gate systems and components
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving low-voltage systems, wiring, and devices
· Work with various access control components, including:
o Keypads and card readers
o Intercom and phone entry systems
o Security cameras (CCTV)
o Barcode scanners and vehicle detection systems
· Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and manuals
· Ensure work meets company standards and complies with safety regulations
· Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings and solutions
· Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work vehicle
Qualifications:
· Prior experience with gate and access control system, as well as low-voltage wiring and system troubleshooting
· Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
· Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
