Wire Technician

Control Wiring Technician for our utility and industrial control panel shop. Wiring Technicians must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics, run electrical wiring neatly and efficiently through wire-way or neatly bundled, and terminate to various components. UL 508a knowledge is a plus! Wiring Technicians must have a minimum of two years of experience wiring control panels. This is a full-time position, 40hrs per week. Monday thru Thursday 7am-5pm with occasional Friday hours possible, in our manufacturing shop located in Jupiter, FL.

Job description

Work in electric panel shop. Production of electric panel boards and cabinets, testing, troubleshooting and correcting to meet QA/QC requirements.

Performs electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, or similarly related operations as required by the components that make up the particular panel or cabinet. Performs testing operations using established procedures, work instructions, schematics and/or other approved documentation.

Fill out documentation on the devices being assembled with respect to assembly, wiring, and testing to fulfill QA/QC requirements.

Training will be provided for all particular aspects of the job at inception and as needed as new products are introduced.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Pay raises and promotions are merit based. Performance reviews are held annually, Improvements in knowledge, abilities, and assumed responsibilities (with management approval) will be rewarded.

Qualifications / Requirements:

· High school or equivalent education

  • Strong knowledge in reading and understanding electrical drawings
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical panel boards assembling
  • Ability to lift/move material and assemblies up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Being familiar with UL 508A standards is a plus.

Panel Assembler

Control Panel Assembler for our utility and industrial control panel shop. Assembler must be able to read and understand layout drawings and written instructions. Mechanical aptitude is a must. UL 508a knowledge is a plus! Ability to operate a forklift is a plus. Assemblers must have a minimum of two years of experience in similar work. This is a full-time position, 40hrs per week. Monday thru Thursday 7am-5pm with occasional Friday hours possible, in our manufacturing shop located in Jupiter, FL.

Job description

Work in electric panel shop. Assembly of electric panel boards and cabinets, testing, troubleshooting and correcting to meet QA/QC requirements.

Assemble electrical components onto metal panels. Assemble wired panels and devices into various enclosures. Connect pre-terminated electrical cables between components. Perform testing of assemblies as required for QA/QC. Install labels, complete assembly checklists.

Training will be provided for all particular aspects of the job at inception and as needed as new products are introduced.

Cross training in panel wiring may be offered if candidate appears to have the required abilities.
