About the Role:

We are currently hiring a skilled Process Technician to join our team in Miami Lakes, Florida for the afternoon shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM). In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimizing injection molding processes to support the efficient production of high-quality plastic components.

This position plays a key role in troubleshooting, improving cycle times, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met. The Process Technician will report directly to the Production Supervisor and work closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup & Operation:

  • Set up and start injection molding machines, including mold and auxiliary equipment installation.

  • Adjust machine parameters to ensure quality output, efficiency, and cycle time goals.

• Process Optimization:

  • Monitor process conditions and product output to maintain consistent part quality.

  • Troubleshoot molding defects, cycle time variances, and minor equipment malfunctions.

  • Document and implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce scrap.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Inspect molded parts and ensure they meet all quality specifications.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams on corrective actions for non-conformances.

  • Keep accurate records of machine settings, quality checks, and performance metrics.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of machines, molds, and support equipment.

  • Resolve minor technical issues and escalate complex problems as needed.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all company safety rules and manufacturing standards.

  • Participate in regular safety training and contribute to a safe work culture.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians.

  • Mentor new operators and assist with cross-training efforts.

  • Serve as a backup to the Production Supervisor when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in plastics, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in a Process Technician role within the injection molding industry.

• Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with quality standards.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-paced setting.

• Good communication skills and ability to understand technical documents and safety labels.

• Sound decision-making skills and a high degree of integrity.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

• Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
