Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location: Palatka, FL
Position Type: Permanent | Contingent
Shifts Available:

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Rotating Weekends)
• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Rotating Weekends)

Position Summary

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse delivers safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to adult patients in an acute care hospital setting. This role emphasizes patient advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to professional nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions on admission and during each shift
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient responses and report changes in condition
• Document care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on diagnoses, medications, and follow-up care
• Respond promptly to patient needs and ensure a positive care experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required
• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license
• Compact license holders must obtain Florida RN license within 60 days of relocation
• Associate Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
• BLS certification required (within 30 days of start date if not current)

• Med/Surg units range from approximately 24–28 beds
• Non-trauma acute care environment
