Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available in Lakeland, FL, serving a diverse K-12 caseload. This full-time contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with part-time opportunities also considered. The position involves working across grade levels from preschool through 12th grade, providing essential speech and language services in elementary, middle, and high school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech and language disorders in students from preschool through 12th grade
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations related to special education services
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification and licensure as a speech-language pathologist with pediatric experience
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload covering all grade levels (Pre-K through 12th grade)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to support student success
- Experience working in school settings is preferred
