About the Post:

Excelsior Defense, Inc. is seeking a highly professional and reliable Armed Security Officer to protect our client's premises, assets, and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions and maintain access control into the property of City Hall. The Goal is to detect, deter, observe and report. This post i s stationed at the front desk, the officer must be prompt with incoming vendors deliveries and ensure a safe environment with a professional and polite manner, (You must have a State License G to work as an Armed officer in the State of Florida)

Post Hours: Monday and Tuesday including City Hall Meetings 8 am to 6pm

• Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
• Report on detaining any suspicious incidents
• Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
• Monitor and control access at building entrances
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/Emergency equipment

Current Openings

Location: Fort Pierce City Hall

Base Rate: $19.18 hourly

Skills Required:

• Proven work experience as an Armed Security Officer or relevant position
• Valid Class D Security License & Valid Class G Security License active with the State of Florida (You must have both License and they both need to be active)
• Excellent knowledge of Public Safety and Security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation
• Integrity and professionalism
• Detailed Report Writing
• Must have own Weapon
