Family Lawyer - Signing Bonus
Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including divorce, child custody, paternity, equitable distribution, child support, adoption, and domestic violence. Job seekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, alimony, and real estate, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation, even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Compensation:
$80,000 - $125,000+ DOE
Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
- Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
- Keep client files properly organized and up to date
- Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
- Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
- Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred
- Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
- Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
- At least 2+ years of family law litigation experience
- Member of the FLORIDA BAR
- Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
- Must be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervision
