Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Physical Therapist for a top Healthcare client.

This role provides high-quality, patient-centered therapeutic care by managing the complete physical therapy process for an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The therapist will conduct comprehensive patient assessments and actively participate in developing and implementing individualized care plans focused on goal achievement, functional recovery, and a positive patient experience throughout the continuum of care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide thorough patient evaluations and treatment interventions within the established legal scope of practice and professional code of ethics.
  • Assess and evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status to contribute directly to the total plan of care development.
  • Deliver purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at the patient's home, utilizing techniques consistent with the physician's prescribed plan of care.
  • Instruct the patient, family, or caregiver in the safe and effective use of at-home therapies, exercises, and therapeutic/prosthetic devices.
  • Observe and accurately document the patient's reaction to treatment and report any significant changes in their overall condition or progress.
  • Prioritize the assigned patient caseload, determine daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments or handoffs effectively.

Requirements

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy is preferred, though a Bachelor's Degree will be considered.

Experience

  • A minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in an acute care setting is required.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Current and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida (REQUIRED).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment start date.

Skills

  • Proficiency in patient assessment and developing individualized, goal-oriented care plans.
