Job Description
We are seeking a Mental Health Specialist who provides compassionate, client-centered mental health support to individuals recovering from substance use disorders. This role focuses on assessment, therapeutic intervention, crisis support, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team to promote emotional stability, recovery, and overall well-being.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health screenings, assessments, and ongoing evaluations
- Provide individual and group therapeutic interventions within scope of practice
- Support clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Monitor client progress and document services in accordance with agency and regulatory standards
- Respond to mental health crises and provide appropriate interventions or referrals
- Collaborate with counselors, medical staff, case managers, and external providers
- Educate clients on coping skills, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention strategies
- Maintain compliance with confidentiality, ethical standards, and program policies
- Participate in treatment team meetings, trainings, and supervision as required
Schedule: Sundays and Mondays only, morning shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm)
