Are you a proven retail leader with a passion for driving growth, developing talent, and delivering exceptional customer experiences? We're looking for a Retail General Manager to lead the strategic and operational direction of our retail stores.
In this high-impact role, you'll work directly with company leadership to shape sales strategies, elevate store performance, and build a strong culture of accountability and excellence across a multi-location retail network.
This position is a salary + commissioned role with amounts to be discussed based on experience during the interview process.
What You'll Do:
Lead & Execute Sales Strategy
- Drive weekly sales performance through goal alignment and execution.
- Analyze trends and forecast sales in collaboration with Finance and Leadership.
- Co-develop commission structures and growth initiatives that motivate teams and meet budget goals.
Oversee Store Operations & Merchandising
- Ensure brand consistency across stores through high merchandising standards and seasonal floor sets.
- Manage store promotions and inspect locations for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Develop Talent & Build Teams
- Lead monthly Store Manager meetings to support alignment and engagement.
- Own the full hiring lifecycle for store leadership roles, including training and development.
- Design product knowledge and customer engagement programs that drive results.
Customer & Vendor Relations
- Serve as a key escalation point for complex customer issues.
- Manage vendor partnerships and oversee CSI programs to ensure service excellence.
- Support resolution of claims and lien issues when necessary.
Financial & Strategic Oversight
- Monitor store budgets and P&L performance for efficiency and profitability.
- Work with store leaders to reduce aged inventory and improve stock turnover.
- Participate in corporate strategy discussions and retail growth planning.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7–10+ years of experience in multi-unit retail management
- Proven leadership in sales, team development, and operational excellence
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and budget management skills
- Confident communicator and problem-solver with a collaborative mindset
- Flooring industry experience is a plus
