Hanley Foundation, a non-profit organization based in West Palm Beach, we aim to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support. We seek a compassionate and organized Alumni Services Coordinator who shares our passion. In this role, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team and work alongside top-notch professionals to deliver exceptional care to our patients.
Summary/Objective:
You will report directly to the Director of Alumni Services and will interact extensively with our alumni team, clinical teams, admissions team, RA team and PRO team. Your responsibilities will include participation with alumni through events, phone calls, text, and e-mail communications. Manage all alumni related events to link Alumni of Hanley Foundation to the recovery community, and to engage potential referral sources in support of Hanley Foundation patients both pre-and post-treatment. Supporting patients through treatment and building relationships to be able to support them when they transition to an alumnus.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Maintain contact with Hanley Foundation Alumni after discharge from all levels of care and programs.
- Available to be flexible to accommodate Alumni and potential patients schedules which includes evenings/weekends.
- Assist in all volunteer activities that fall within the scope of Alumni Services.
- Following up within 3 days of discharge to support Alumni.
- Generate and accept calls from Alumni who may need support and assist them by connecting them with internal and external resources, as appropriate.
- Represent Hanley Foundation by coordinating potential referrals with the Admissions Department
- Support and execute alumni engagement activities in targeted areas.
- Be willing to appear and speak at Hanley Alumni meetings in person and virtually.?
- Be available to support Alumni via telephone and notify Alumni Services/Admissions in the event you become aware of an Alumni relapse.
- Represent Hanley Foundation by coordinating potential referrals with the Admission Department
- Make attempts to contact ASA patients within 24 to 72 hours post-discharge.
- Cultivate referring relationships with a wide variety and number of post-discharge service providers.
- Teach 12-step lectures and clinical Psychoeducation to patients as needed.
- Ensures that their portions of patient records are accurate and are prepared in a timely manner.
- Ensure that program schedules and functions are met in a professional and timely manner and comply with all applicable regulations and accreditation requirements.
- Keep all certifications and licenses active and up to date.
- Learn and utilize Evidence-Based Practices.
- Ensures and coordinates with the clinical staff functioning, to avoid scheduling conflicts for clients.
- Complete duties in a professional and timely manner.
- Protect the health, safety, and welfare of patients.
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all patients and their records.
- Report all alleged incidents of abuse or neglect under all state standards and accrediting bodies and Hanley Center Foundation Policies & Procedures.
- Help ensure and maintain property safety belonging to and on all facilities grounds.
- Uphold all Hanley Center Foundation HealthCare Policies and Procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

The employee is required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel:
Travel may be expected for this position.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- CAP or CAC preferred.
- Previous experience working in a treatment facility is required.
- A sound knowledge of the teaching of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous
- If in recovery, one (1) year of continuous sobriety is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to network and interact with the recovery community at a local, state, national, and international level.
- Must be computer literate and be familiar with most Microsoft products and network components.
- Must have fluid communication skills that foster teamwork and high morale.
- Must be able to promote the continuum in the media such as radio, television, and print.
- Must be able to set an example as a positive employee so others want to follow with enthusiasm.
- Must possess a high degree of leadership skills both in theory and practice.
- Must possess a high degree of organizational skills.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the principles and programs of the various 12-step fellowships.
