Job Description
The Groundskeeper / Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of buildings and grounds. This includes performing general repairs, landscaping, preventive maintenance, and assisting with facility operations to ensure a clean, functional, and safe environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Grounds-keeping Duties:

• Mow, edge, trim, and water lawns and landscaped areas.
  

• Plant, prune, fertilize, and maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers.
  

• Remove weeds, leaves, litter, and debris from grounds and walkways.
  

• Maintain irrigation systems and report or repair leaks.
  

• Clear snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and entryways (as applicable).
  

• Maintain outdoor equipment, tools, and vehicles.
  

Maintenance Duties:

• Perform basic repairs to buildings, fixtures, and equipment (e.g., painting, minor plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry).
  

• Conduct routine inspections of property, facilities, and equipment.
  

• Replace light bulbs, filters, locks, and other small components.
  

• Assist with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance as directed.
  

• Set up and tear down furniture or equipment for events or facility use.
  

• Report major maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  

General Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all safety and maintenance procedures.
  

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  

• Operate maintenance vehicles and powered equipment safely.
  

• Provide courteous and helpful service to residents, staff, and visitors.
  

• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Full-Time Tue-Sat 8am-4pm


Pay rate: Up to $20 DOE
